Camp counselors and staff have been carefully selected for their qualities as role models for the campers. Our counselors are college and high school young women who have demonstrated leadership qualities. They share the ideals of Camp Cedar Sage and are dedicated to the personal growth and welfare of each camper.
We host counselor-training seminars before camp. It includes work sessions on the goals of the camp, leadership workshops, preparation of the talks for campers, planning camp activities, first aid training.
Additionally, the counselors attend throughout the year different activities, which help them in their personal growth as leaders of camp.
The camp directors are assisted by a staff of college and high school counselors selected for their proven leadership skills. All of our counselors have been recommended by someone closely linked to the camp. There is an application process and interview, which assures that the counselors identify with the mission and goals of Camp Cedar Sage.
